The National Research Council (CNR) is the largest Italian public research body, organized in 7 national departments and about 100 institutes, each including several labs distributed throughout the national territory. This project involves the Department of Engineering, ICT and Technologies for Energy and Transport (DIITET). Through DIITET, the CNR is present in European research organizations on the subject of Energy and contributes to the work of the European SET Plan working groups (WGs) with a leading position in the Offshore Wind and the Photovoltaic WGs.

CNR coordinates Parma municipality, by gathering and processing data at different stages of the demo-PED project and by organizing together with the other members of the Alliance for Carbon Neutrality of Parma. The stakeholder engagement IMEM-CNR will work in strict collaboration with the University of Palermo to implement their LCA/LCC models and use them effectively in the case of the Parma demo site.
